Ho Ho Ho!

I'm totally ready for Christmas and I'm SO excited!

I'm going to have a quick nap when I get home from work, then I'm going to bake some pies and prep the food for tomorrow a.m.

Rich's family will be in tonight, and my family will be here tomorrow.

I can't wait to give everyone their gifts and do all of our new Christmas traditions. I've barely been able to sleep for the past three days from all the excitement!

 Tonight will be lots of yummy appetizers while we play a mean game of Time's Up. Please play this hilarious game if you ever get the chance! Then it's Rock Band (I'll probably be asleep by then). I promise to post lots of pics!!!

First Haircut

Baby J had his first haircut this weekend. I've trimmed his hair at home, unfortunately making him look like Friar Tuck. I was going to let his hair grow wild but then thought that he looked a little neglected. :-) (ya right!)

How did it go? It went fabulously! He was so happy to sit in a car to watch a car movie. This of course further reinforced his obsession with cars.

He never said boo even when she took out the clippers and buzzed the back of his head.

Phew! I'm so glad it went well! It must be really tough when kids freak around scissors!!!

Aside from that, I'm doing pregnificent!



Sunday Fun

Sunday we had fun at Le Petit Gym and we picked up some groceries afterward.

Jacob munched away on an apple while we shopped. This is the first time that I've given him an apple whole. I always cut it up for him but he surprised me by eating it this way. I love being surprised by what he's able to do. I'm the one that has to catch up to his development. It's fun to see how fast he learns and wants to be independent.

Back to work, I'm very happy about my new office. It's definetely quieter now that I'm away from sharing an office with my ultra loud coworker.  I tried to sneak my lunch alone in my office today, only to have everyone pile in. There's no escape here.
In other baby news, Baby Toosie Rollette is moving around like crazy! I'm very excited.

Busy bees as usual, my pregnancy is going super well. I have a little bit of insomnia and headaches but aside from that, its been smooth sailing.

I must say there's never a dull moment with Jacob in my life! We enrolled him in Le Petit Gym. He had his second session, and he's such a Superstar. He really enjoys every new experience and loves life!

Super Duper Speedy Post

I'm sneaking a little post at work... I deserve a break, I've been working straight since I walked in this morning. One day I will write about a day in the life of me. I'm usually in bed by 9:30 p.m. now. I am pooped!

I finally got a holiday after a crazy summer at work. We went away camping for a week during the hottest week of the summer. We still had a great time. We toughed it out in the air conditioned trailer. hehe More pics and details to follow...

Super duper special news... Drumroll.... I'M PREGGARS! Yippeeeee! Yep, we were pleasantly shocked too. :-)

Busy weekend! We went to Granby Zoo with the whole family and had a great time. My parents, my Nanny, Rich's Dad and of course the boys, all got together. Our camera has been acting up so I've been snapping pics with my iPhone. Will post some soon...

I'm also excited to start my new sewing class! I get to have some me time and be creative too. I've been hunting down a particular model of sewing machine and have finally found it! I looked everywhere!!! 

Can't wait to post about my first project. 

Cavalia

Last night we celebrated my b-day by going to Les 3 Brasseurs for a yummy Flamme. Basically it's a very thin crust pizza. 

Then it was off to Cavalia. It was a beautiful show. One of the creators of Cirque du Soleil dreamed it up, so you can imagine what it was like. Visually stunning and very entertaining.

In other news, I'm so happy that my month of double the work is over. My co-worker, went away to Italy for a month to visit family, leaving me with a ton of responsibility. In a nutshell, I've been pushing on with a few frustrations and mini heart attacks. Can't wait til she comes back so I can take a much needed holiday. I've hardly been home and I feel like I'm missing out on family time.

Also, I'm very excited that I'll be taking an online course with Cari! I'm picking up my sewing machine next weekend. :-) I've always wanted to pick it up as a hobby but didn't really know where I could learn the trade. It starts with the basics and has some interesting projects. This is a perfect outlet for me, I need some me time too. I can do the course at my own pace. Nikko (The Italian Husky)

In other news... we got another dog! Now we have 3! Sorry, we're not that coo-coo!

We're babysitting this Siberian Husky for 2 weeks for my co-worker. He's pretty dominant and he likes to chew Jacob's toys. He also pooped in front of Jacob's crib twice, and ran away once. And I don't think that Maya is a virgin anymore.

That was all in the first week. We ran his furry butt BIG TIME today and he's doing way better.

We actually like him now.

Marineland

Marineland was a lot of fun. The dolphin show was wonderful and the resident walrus was GIGANTIC!

I was surprised to see how many rides there were. The boys were on them for a large portion of the day.

Grampie got hosed down by a sperm whale. Many gross jokes...

There were even some pretty sad bears...

Long Time No See

Ok so I admit, I've dropped off the face of the earth but all is well. I don't really have time to sit down until about 10 p.m., so my free time doesn't usually include blogging anymore. I'm missing it lately.

Once upon a time, I never let a week go by without posting something!

Jacob is as charming as ever! He took his first steps at a Tim Hortons on July 1st weekend. How Patriotic! :-)

We were on our way to see Rich's Dad in Ontario. We had a great time and managed to squeeze in a trip to Marineland.

Gotta love daycare and it's germs!

Last weekend we all had colds, and Josh and Rich were vomiting. Everyone but me had fevers.

Jacob is getting better but has almost no appetite.

How do I get him drink? I even went and picked up some Pedialyte but he wasn't too interested in that either. Luckily he ate some solids tonight. I keep offering him milk but he doesn't drink more than .5 ounce at a time.

Everything else is going well, very busy at work learning a ton of new things, and getting used to the office politics. People have gigantic personalities there, there was even a yelling match over a file but aside from that everyone seems nice.

New Hats

Lots of new things going on.

I started working part time at a clothing store Thurs and Friday night and weekends, until I went back to work full time. It's super easy and I get to talk to people all day.

Looking for work is really a full time job! Not much hiring going on around the holidays but I went for a second interview last week and got the job. So now I'm putting on my counting hat and working in Accounting. So far so good! I've done two half days because I wanted to ease Jacob into daycare.

More importantly, Jacob has had some major changes!

He cut his first tooth and the second one is following quickly, and his first two half days at daycare were awesome! What a relief :-)

I'm happy that I know most of the educators because I worked there while in school. I can't believe I got a spot so quickly, usually the waiting list is a few years.

I'm so proud of him. They love him there and can't get over how happy, and easy going he is.

I've stopped nursing him to sleep so that its not torture for him or the educators to put him down for a nap. He falls asleep easily and has adjusted well so far. Rich has helped a lot with that too. There were many tempting moments when we wanted to get him out of his crib. He only cried for a max of 20 minutes. He's a dream baby!
